Business LicenseA Business License is required by Chapter 5.04 Business Licenses of the Rangely Municipal Code for any business either in or operating within the Town of Rangely city limits. Not only must any business located within the Town limits be licensed, but also any business located elsewhere which does one or more of the following within the Town limits. Provides, sells, or rents, solicits, or advertises the sale of rental of goods, wares, merchandise, equipment or services. The business license application is available at the Town Hall or may be downloaded under the forms tab. Business licenses are issued on an annual basis and the period covered is from January 1 to December 31 of each year. The fee will be prorated after June 1 of each year.
Liquor LicenseColorado is a dual licensing authority for the state's licensed retailers and special event permittees. Liquor licensing in Colorado requires retailers to first obtain license approval at the local government level. For new license applicants this typically requires showing the neighborhood needs and desires for each new liquor license. Local government will typically conduct an initial background investigation of the individuals involved with a retail liquor license application. An exception to this rule exists for chain stores or other entities that have multiple liquor licenses located throughout the state. Please contact Vicky Pfennig at (970) 675-8477 for applications and questions.
