Wildlife enthusiasts will prime deer and elk country which is open to hunting, photography and viewing. Much of this is public land managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW). See wild horses, deer, elk, antelope, migratory birds, coyotes, eagles, hawks and prairie dogs. There are nearby mountain streams with beaver dams, a wealth of bird life and small mammals, and thousands of square miles of public lands to explore.
