Mayor Paula Davis
The drive into Rangely is breathtaking and the wildlife encountered is extensive in our area. Our town thrives on outdoor activities from hiking, biking, boating, fishing, hunting, and 4-wheeling to flying and just enjoying the natural beauty of our back-country and town amenities. We might be small but our facilities are worth boasting. Our beautifully remodeled recreation center has a swimming pool, water slide, hot tub, racquetball courts, weights, and aerobics room. Our challenging 9-hole golf course and other well groomed parks are a luscious green in our high desert country.
Rangely is located just 20 miles from Dinosaur National Monument, 5 miles from Kenney Reservoir and five minutes away from the finest rock crawling course in the country on public lands.
Our community is home to 2300 residents, Colorado Northwestern Community College, the Rangely District Hospital, and the 7th largest oil field in the United States.
There’s something for everyone. Make Rangely a destination for your family, your business or just vacation in beautiful Northwestern Colorado. And when you’re in town, stop in and say hi.
