Brief summary of position

Police Officer

The Town of Rangely is seeking a full-time police officer and patrol Sergeant to join our department.  Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid Colorado Driver’s License, and is at least 21 years of age.  Must be Colorado Post certified or certifiable. 

The Town of Rangely offers an excellent benefit package which includes an excellent pension retirement, FPPA pension, medical and dental insurance, premium for medical, dental and vision is paid for by the Town 100% for all qualified dependants.  Officers can also attend Colorado Northwestern Community College after becoming a resident and receive low tuition towards a degree in the criminal justice field.  Town Application is required and resume is recommended.  Positions are open until filled.

Utility Operators

The Town Of Rangely is seeking a qualified candidate to join the Utility Department as an Operator II. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of both the water and wastewater treatment plants, and distribution and collection systems. The ideal candidate will possess duel certification in both water and wastewater treatment, distribution and collection at the “C” level and be able to obtain certification at the “B” level within one year of hire. A minimum of two years of experience is desired with increasing management experience preferred. The Town of Rangely is a small progressive community located on the White River in the heart of the energy resource sector of northwest Colorado. The Town organization offers an excellent benefit package and pay range of $31,818-42,432, with a lucrative opportunity for advancement.
